It has an ideal location for logistics and transport, which allows very cheap prices, ours. The Sub-bética region, to which Lucena, Montilla and Cabra belong, is ideal for a short family outing, due to its historical, gastronomic and natural attractions. It is worth a visit. Here there are great people, you are going to have a good time. We are on the Montilla-Moriles Wine Trail, with the best wines in the world. "A glass of Pedro Ximénez, waiter!". It tastes like honey!
"Subbetica is for gourmets". Extraordinary oil, gazpacho, salmorejo, olives and cured meats, accompanied by a glass of outstanding oak barrelled Palo Cortado wine. A "chanfaina" or some "maimones", this is to say hot meat-based stews, as well as local desserts, from sweet potatoes to "mantecados". You're going to put on some weight! The Subbetica has a lot of History: The towns of Priego de Cordoba, Cabra and Lucena, belong to the wonderful "Cordoba Baroque Route". A great legacy that includes prehistoric, Roman and Visigothic historic sites. Lucena is also known as the city of the three cultures, the Pearl of Sepharad, for its important Jewish legacy. A land of artisans, with excellent pottery, an aesthetic that accompanies visits to the wonderful wineries and mills of yesteryear.
